We are very pleased to announce that we have been re-accredited Platinum status by Investors in People (IIP), demonstrating our commitment to helping our employees reach their full potential along with our strong company culture.
During the 2023 assessment, the Investors in People online survey was deployed across the organisation, providing an opportunity for everyone across the Bank to contribute to the overall assessment process. One-to-one interviews were also conducted to gauge a better understanding of the company’s approach to people management and to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
The Access Bank UK Limited has been applauded for its strong and clearly defined set of core values which underpin the vision and organisational culture, drive ways of working across the Bank and are clearly being ‘lived and breathed’ at every level. The Bank has also been recognised for its leading and inspiring people at all levels of the Bank, its robust approach to performance management and a culture where people are challenging themselves to be the best they can, to deliver success for themselves and for the Bank. With both front and back-office functions (and London and Northwich based teams) the Bank has been acknowledged for its success in creating a ‘one team’ approach across the company.
The IIP Assessor was particularly impressed with the overwhelming sense of genuine pride, engagement and commitment from the staff.
The Access Bank UK Limited has worked with the Investors in People (IIP) framework for a number of years, using successive assessments to better understand the effectiveness and impact of its approaches to people management. The IIP Platinum accreditation is the highest accolade that can be achieved. We first worked with the organisation in 2011 where we received the IIP Standard, in 2014 we achieved Bronze, in 2017 we progressed to Gold and 2020 was when we first achieved Platinum status. This is a clear demonstration of our hard work, perseverance and commitment and it acknowledges our progress towards becoming recognised as the world’s most respected African Bank.
