[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”true” align=”left” margin_bottom=”0″]The Access Bank UK Limited is delighted to have sponsored the GTR Mena Trade Finance Week 2016 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on 15-17 February 2016. The event welcomed representatives from across the international business, banking, legal, insurance and government sectors to discuss current and future trade priorities. Keynote speakers included His Excellency Hani Al Hamli, Secretary General of the Dubai Economic Council (DEC) and Ahmed bin Sulayim, Executive Chairman of DMCC, both of whom outlined the government’s vision for further developing Dubai and the UAE’s enviable position as a leading global trade hub.

With around 80 speakers featured across the three days, GTR Mena Trade Finance Week 2016 also benefited from a ‘Compliance in supply chain finance’ training workshop, whilst the ICC Regional Mena Banking Commission also hosted its 3rd Supply Chain Technology Forum, geared around ‘Innovations in Islamic Trade Finance’.

“Another year on from last year’s event, and once again the Mena region remains at the forefront of global trade developments,” says Jeff Ando, Associate Director and Head of Conference Production at GTR. “The seismic impact of the ongoing downturn in global commodity prices has resonated particularly strongly across the GCC, whilst concerns over liquidity dominate discussions amongst banks and corporates alike. Furthermore, the lifting of sanctions and proposed return to the fold for Iran is a development of huge regional, if not global, significance.”

In addition to the unrivalled networking and knowledge building opportunities provided, the event was fully ICC Academy accredited, offering a maximum of 15 Professional Development Credits (PDCs) in total.

The Access Bank UK was delighted to be invited as a sponsor and our presence in this arena emphasises our ambition to grow our operations in Dubai, to facilitate trade investment for our industry as well as new customers.[/vc_column_text][mk_image src=”https://www.theaccessbankukltd.co.uk/4j35nf/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/The-Access-Bank-UK-at-the-GTR-Mena-Trade-Finance-Week-2016-in-Dubai-1.jpg” image_width=”800″ image_height=”350″ crop=”false” svg=”false” lightbox=”false” frame_style=”simple” target=”_self” title=”The Access Bank UK at the GTR Mena Trade Finance Week 2016 in Dubai.” caption_location=”outside-image” align=”left” margin_bottom=”10″][mk_image src=”https://www.theaccessbankukltd.co.uk/4j35nf/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/The-Access-Bank-UK-at-the-GTR-Mena-Trade-Finance-Week-2016-in-Dubai-2.jpg” image_width=”800″ image_height=”350″ crop=”false” svg=”false” lightbox=”false” frame_style=”simple” target=”_self” title=”The Access Bank UK at the GTR Mena Trade Finance Week 2016 in Dubai.” caption_location=”outside-image” align=”left” margin_bottom=”10″][mk_image src=”https://www.theaccessbankukltd.co.uk/4j35nf/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/The-Access-Bank-UK-at-the-GTR-Mena-Trade-Finance-Week-2016-in-Dubai-3.jpg” image_width=”800″ image_height=”350″ crop=”false” svg=”false” lightbox=”false” frame_style=”simple” target=”_self” title=”The Access Bank UK at the GTR Mena Trade Finance Week 2016 in Dubai.” caption_location=”outside-image” align=”left” margin_bottom=”10″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
