We are delighted to have been awarded Platinum status by Investors in People (IIP), demonstrating our commitment to high performance through good people management and strong company culture.
The Access Bank UK Limited has been applauded for its strong and clearly defined set of core values which underpin the vision and organisational culture, drive ways of working across the Bank and are clearly being ‘lived and breathed’ at every level. Investors in People described the Bank as an example of an organisation that has truly embraced the principles of IIP and has strived to provide effective people management and development in order to achieve high levels of engagement across all its teams – which has in turn delivered year-on-year business growth since the bank opened in 2008.
The IIP Platinum accreditation is the highest accolade that can be achieved and is currently held by only 2% of IIP accredited organisations. The Access Bank UK Limited has worked with the Investors in People framework for a number of years, using successive assessments to better understand the effectiveness and impact of its approaches to people management. To achieve the highest Platinum standard, the Bank had to achieve ‘high performance’ in seven of the nine assessment indicators with each of the 9 categories consisting of 3 themes. In 2020, The Bank achieved a High Performing level for 25 of the 27
Commenting on the assessment, the IIP Assessor was particularly impressed with the style of leadership (at all levels) within the business that encouraged and supported effective collaboration, an inclusive approach and a real sense of a ‘family feel’ amongst the whole Access Bank UK Limited team .He added that there was also an overwhelming sense of genuine pride, engagement and commitment from the staff – people enjoy working for the organisation and clearly want it to be a success!
Commenting on the award, IIP congratulated the Bank on an outstanding assessment outcome – this activity took place during a very challenging time for the UK but the feedback from people across the business could not have been more positive – both in terms of how the organisation has supported its people throughout the COVID19 outbreak but also its approach and commitment to investing in people’s learning and development, evolving in order to meet the changing needs of its customers and creating sustainable success for the future.
