Access Bank and Access Private Bank once again showed its support for sports, health, environmental and social welfare by organizing an impressive polo event at the Ham Polo Club, Richmond, Surrey on Saturday 29th June 2013. The “Access Bank Day” at the Polo event is an extension of the Bank’s Fifth Chukker UNICEF Charity Shield which is in its fifth year.
The sponsorship provides a platform for supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in Nigeria through its annual donation to the Fifth Chukker on the polo games platform of which a portion goes to UNICEF project towards assisting and supporting the less privileged children.
At this year’s event, Adolfo Cambiaso and La Dolfina forty (40) goal team backed up Adamu Atta’s Fifth Chukker and Tajudeen Dantata’s Kangimi Titans in a twenty-four (24) goal showdown watched with excitement by hundreds of distinguished guests from all over the world.
The guests were hosted by Access Private Bank which is a division of The Access Bank UK Limited and is dedicated to serving the investment needs of high net worth customers. The bank provides an individually tailored investment solution which is complemented by a personal banking service.
The 2013 Ham Polo Tournament had distinguished dignitaries in attendance which included: Access Bank Group Managing Director, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede; Access Bank, Chairman, Gbenga Oyebode; Access Bank Group Deputy Managing Director, Herbert Wigwe; The Access Bank UK, CEO/Managing Director, Jamie Simmonds; an industrialist, Chief Molade Okoya Thomas; Access Bank Non-Executive Director, Dr. Ernest Ndukwe; MD/CEO, Folawiyo Group, Tunde Folawiyo and CEO of Shoreline Energy International Plc, Kola Karim amongst others.
At the end of the day’s program, trophies and prizes were presented by Access Bank Group Managing Director Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Industrialists Chief Molade Okoya Thomas and Tunde Folawiyo, as well as Access Bank Deputy Managing Director Herbert Wigew and Private Bank CEO/MD Jamie Simmonds to outstanding teams and individuals.
