The Access Bank UK Ltd Hosts African & International Subsidiaries Conference

The Access Bank UK Ltd was pleased to host the African and International Subsidiaries Conference on Saturday, 25th October, at the prestigious Hyatt Regency London – overlooking the River Thames. The conference brought together senior leaders and representatives from across the Access Bank Group network, creating a valuable platform for collaboration, strategic dialogue, and cross-regional alignment.

Delegates gathered in London to share product offerings, strategic priorities and identify key opportunities across markets. The event served as an important milestone in strengthening synergies across the Group’s international subsidiaries and reinforcing our shared vision: to be the world’s most respected African Bank.

The conference commenced with a warm welcome from David Charters, Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director of The Access Bank UK Ltd, setting the tone for a day focused on collaboration and strategic ambition. This was followed by a Global Markets presentation delivered by Charlie Robertson from Renaissance Capital Africa, offering valuable insights into evolving market dynamics and investment opportunities.

Seyi Kumapayi, Executive Director for African Subsidiaries, then delivered an engaging presentation outlining key achievements and strategic focus areas across the region. The programme continued with an insightful session from Jamie Simmonds, CEO/MD of The Access Bank UK Ltd, who highlighted operational priorities and initiatives designed to enhance cross-border capabilities and customer experience across the Group.

Following Jamie’s presentation, the agenda transitioned to business-line showcases. The Trade Finance team from The Access Bank UK Ltd delivered a presentation on key trade facilitation strategies and emerging opportunities, which was followed by an update from the Commercial Banking team, featuring remarks from AfrAsia Bank Ltd on partnership and connectivity across markets. The session continued with an in-depth presentation from the Private Banking and Asset Management team, highlighting tailored wealth solutions and future growth priorities.

Across all sessions, speakers emphasised the importance of continued alignment, market leadership, and leveraging the Bank’s international network to deepen customer value and drive innovation. Participants had the opportunity to exchange best practices and explore transformative initiatives supporting trade, investment and cross-border financial services between Africa and global markets.

The event successfully concluded with a strong re-emphasis on a shared dedication to achieving excellence, fostering collaboration, and driving sustainable, long-term value across all subsidiaries within the Access Bank Group. The Access Bank UK Ltd remains proud to play a central role in facilitating global partnerships and accelerating the Group’s international growth strategy.
