Access Private Bank proudly sponsors the Contemporary African Art event at Bonhams

Access Private Bank recently sponsored an exclusive event at Bonhams, “Celebrating Contemporary African Art,” set against the stunning backdrop of Bonhams’ flagship gallery. This remarkable occasion brought together art enthusiasts, collectors, and influential figures to celebrate the vibrant and evolving world of modern and contemporary African art.

The event, proudly presented in collaboration with Cheltenham Ladies’ College, marked an important milestone for the institution—170 years of excellence in education. Held during a private preview of Bonhams’ Modern & Contemporary African Art auction, the evening was not just a celebration of art but also a commemoration of the rich history and cultural impact of Cheltenham Ladies’ College.

Attendees were invited to a drinks reception, where the room buzzed with conversation about art, culture, and community. Speeches from Jamie Simmonds, CEO/MD of The Access Bank UK Ltd, Giles Peppiatt, Bonhams’ Director of African Art, and Eve Jardine-Young, Principal of Cheltenham Ladies’ College, added a special touch to the evening. Jamie Simmonds highlighted Access Private Bank’s commitment to supporting cultural diversity and fostering connections within the African community. Giles Peppiatt spoke passionately about the significance of contemporary African art in the global market, while Eve Jardine-Young emphasized the enduring values of education and community.

The event offered a unique opportunity for Access Private Bank to engage with key stakeholders, including current parents, students, and alumni of Cheltenham Ladies’ College. With a particular focus on members of the African community or those with strong ties to Africa, the evening fostered meaningful connections and enriched brand visibility.

By supporting such an event, Access Private Bank further solidified its commitment to cultural enrichment and community engagement, especially within the African diaspora. The collaboration with Cheltenham Ladies’ College highlighted the importance of nurturing ties with communities that share a global outlook and appreciation for both education and the arts.
